Pursat oranges now benefit from a registered collective trademark. According to AKP, citing an announcement by the Ministry of Commerce on October 2, the trademark was officially registered on September 9, 2026. The recognition aims to protect the rights of local producer and trader communities while strengthening the fruit’s identity in both Cambodian and international markets. Orange cultivation in Pursat covers approximately 3,047 hectares, with annual production reaching nearly 29,900 tonnes. The registration concerns a collective trademark, which is distinct from a protected geographical indication (PGI).
